Since my earliest years, I have found my greatest delight in creating.  My lifelong dedication to creativity has focused on discovering ways of uniquely expressing beauty in painting and drawing, photography, music, and poetry.

My commitment to creativity led me to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from Alverno College and a Master of Arts degree from North Dakota State University, both in the area of Expressive Arts and Design.  I have also participated in many workshops including Visionary Art, Photography, Watercolor and Pottery.  I also hold a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University.

My personal philosophy of Art is in seeing myself as the portrayer of beauty and, at this point in my artistic career, in uniquely expressing the feminine spirit in my works.  I enjoy using a variety of media:  pencil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and paper mache.  For the past few years, I have also enjoyed creating my multicultural women in textile tapestries.

My career experience includes corporate training, teaching, educational administration, consulting and private practice.  I have served as Vice President of Washington DC’s World Peace Institute, and have owned and operated two consulting businesses, Transformational Dynamics and Creativity Unlimited.  In both of these companies, I have helped clients unlock their creativity and innate potential, and then apply it to their personal and professional lives.

I also maintained my own art studio in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, exhibiting and selling my paintings and drawings.  My work is held in private collections across the country.  Combining my talents as an artist, musician, poet and photographer, I created and published a book of poetry and black and white photography, Seeing Through the Heart. This book was accompanied by an audio tape of my music and poetry, Listening Through the Heart.  I also created an interactive videotape and workbook entitled, Unleashing Creativity:  A Trip into Your Creative Power.  

I make my home in the beautiful red rock country of southern Utah where my artistic expression is strongly focused on creating women in my pieces and sharing them with others.  I currently lead national workshops helping participants to unlock and express both their creativity and a deeper expression of their feminine spirit.
